Hello everyone and welcome to my newest blog.
From my childhood I’ve enjoyed reading and sharing stories. Over the years I’ve written a number of articles, devotionals & poems and even put out my own little newsletter for four years back in the late ’80s.
In 2009 I joined the His Imprint Christian Writers group in Saskatoon; we meet once a month to mutually share and critique. This has been and continues to be a great stimulant for my creative muse. One of these ladies introduced me to blogging in Jan 2012 and I’ve been writing and posting ever since.
I’m a prairie girl to the core — born, raised, and married in Saskatchewan, Canada. After years of roaming, living in five provinces, my husband and I have settled on an acreage southwest of Saskatoon. Here we get to observe nature in all its beauty and here we also have our family: our married daughter and son-in-law and four terrific grandchildren live just two miles away. So we plan to stay put now.
I cook one day a week in a Retirement Home; when I’m not there you’ll find me writing, blogging, gardening and keeping house for my husband, Bob, and our three cats.
So good to read your refreshing writing. Thank you for taking the time. I know how million & ‘more important things’ could get in the way. But, now I am in England & found you, enjoyed reading it & so blessed by it. Keep up a good work. God bless you in all your endeavors!

Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment. Yes, there are many things I could be doing, but I trust the Lord can use my writing to bless others, so I continue.

Thank you. I will do that.
Our part of the world is lovely—unless you’re a fan of mountains and tall trees.:) We’re very happy on our little acreage with our birds and three cats. And yes, especially with the family nearby. Lots to be thankful for.

I especially like the three cats, and have driven across Canada. Stunning. Right now I’m surrounded by lots of trees and hills, with creeks running everywhere. But I love the plains and even deserts. Thanks for your response!

HI Christine, How are you doing? I wanted to know how your writing was coming. I believe in one of your post you were speaking about book writing. I pray that God has given you clarity into what is next. Take care

Thanks for asking. My children’s book has been published and is for sale, but I haven’t considered a story line for a second one like it.
Truth be told, I haven’t done any fiction writing since I started chemotherapy. In fact not a lot of anything, but the urge to write starting to come back. The urge to do a lot of things is starting to come back — and a LOT has been left undone this year.

That’s alright. It’s starts with an urge. How is the chemotherapy going? You will be in my prayers.

One more round of treatment, Sept 7 & 8. I’m planning to hold a celebration and do my “happy dance” at the end of Sept. 🙂
The oncologist says my blood counts are all good, my lymph nodes are normal. the one doctor said I would be considered “cancer free” right now.

OK so you got to give me more information on your cats? I have 1 daughter (cat) that rules the house. Ruby is getting old though and is slowing down but I love her so much. She has been there for me when no one else was around. -Bruce

I left your comment, intending to reply later — describing my three cats takes some doing. 🙂 But sorry I’m so much later in replying. Anyway, thanks for your comment. I’ll do a post today about our youngest cat, Pookie. I call him our “invasive species” and will explain why. Angus is our second cat; we found him as a kitten about four years ago. He’s all black but built long & lean like a Siamese and with that disposition and yowl. Panda’s our giant furry bear, an all black Maine Coon cat we adopted just over fourteen years ago. She is the queen bee here.

Thanks for letting me know that. I’ll check out the group. Most of my poems these days are haiku, but I may get back into longer verses.
